A box-to-box midfielder, Henriksen has displayed versatility and can be deployed in either an attacking or defensive role. With excellent technique, Henriksen has an excellent understanding of the game for someone so young. He is now an influential figure for Rosenborg and has shown great vision, a good range of passing and an eye for goal. His recent appearances in the Champions League have seen a number of scouts from Europe's elite come to monitor his performance. With Werder Bremen declaring an interest in Rosenborg's prized asset, assistant director Erik Hoftun was quick to rule out a move, declaring the teenager was not for sale at any cost and would continue his development with the Norwegian champions. At international level, Henriksen scored one goal in three appearances for Norway's Under-19 team and was quickly promoted to the Under-21 side. It will simply be a matter of time before Henriksen earns a move to one of Europe's major clubs, with the player himself citing Arsenal as his preference and many believe he will be part of the senior national set up this season.
